Creator of Evil Within, Ghostwire Tokyo and Hi-Fi Rush left his own studio, Tango Gameworks, this year
After leaving Tango Gameworks, the legendary Shinji Mikami, creator of Resident Evil and The Evil Within, may be counting the days until he returns to work. According to a post on social media, the end of a clause would have opened the doors for the dev to return to games.

Mikami did not make it clear why he was away from the industry in recent months. After the debut of Hi-Fi Rush, in January this year, the dev would have taken a sabbatical, taking advantage of the time to play Ghost of Tsushima and Resident Evil 4.

In a provocative tone, he published a message that was not very enlightening on X. However, despite being direct and short, the text stood out for the expression “I think I should start working”. Read below:

Recently, Goichi Suda (known as Suda51) stated that he would like to work on a new Shadows of the Damned alongside Mikami (via VGC ). At the moment, the remaster of the 2011 title is in development, but it has not been made official whether the game has the support of the creator of Resident Evil.
